TO ALL OUR FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS
Hello everyone,
We hope this Just for Humanity newsletter finds you well.
It’s been a wonderful start to summer here at Just For Humanity. Just as kids in America and Europe head to summer break, kids in South Asia are ready to enter a new academic year! It’s an exciting time for the kids and just as exciting for us as well!
Just For Humanity will be sponsoring the private school education of 23 additional kids this year as we strive to bring opportunities and access to education one child at a time. Children from age 5 to 16, will be getting access to quality education for the first time and will bring to 50, the number of children we have in our tuition program.
Where some see borders, we see bridges!
Just For Humanity continues to push the envelope in going beyond borders so our program has a larger impact in the community. We recently teamed up with a local school in a remote village in the mountains of Nepal and as part of our education facilities program we provided teaching supplies and a water dispenser to provide access to clean healthy water. With the help of our partners in Nepal, our team was able to transport everything to Accham village – 35 hours by road from Kathmandu – and thanks to these amazing efforts more than 140 kids have benefited.
Stay tuned for our next updates in all our social media channels titled Kathmandu Diaries for more stories from the ground.
And as the saying goes, we ain’t done yet!
Did you know 23 million children in the world are born with visual impairment? China and India together account for 49% of the world’s total burden of blindness and vision impairment. Education to the visually impaired is a huge challenge and we recognize this. We are now directly supporting 3 children with visual impairment. More to come in days ahead as we follow their journey.
All this would not have been possible, without the generous support of countless donors like you. We would like to give a special shout out to Magic Pathshala and Ayka Logistics for standing by us and sharing their magic with the rest of humanity!
Depending on the location and age of the children we serve, it costs between $1 and $3 per day to provide a good quality education. Even a small contribution can make a profound difference in their lives. Please therefore consider making a donation to help sustain and expand our programs.
